Sedalia, MO – Team Vihtavuori member, Bruce Piatt, scored a 1920-176x to place second at the 2021 Bianchi Cup. Piatt used N320 Vihtavuori pistol powder exclusively, known for its clean burning characteristics and unmatched lot-to-lot consistency.

The NRA National Action Pistol Championship took place May 25-27th at the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Hallsville, MO. For over 40 years, Green Valley has attracted the world’s top action pistol shooters to compete for the coveted Bianchi Cup.

“Vihtavuori N320 powder had my gun grouping under 1” at 50 yards and cycling softer than any other powder I’ve tried.  This helped me score a 1920 with 176-X’s. We call a 1920 a “perfect” score because I never missed the 10 ring, but it wasn’t perfect” enough to take the win. Congratulations to Doug Koenig, who also shot a 1920, but with five more X’s taking home the Bianchi Cup,” said Piatt. “Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club did a wonderful job hosting the event. A big thank you goes out to their staff and all the match sponsors.”

Piatt’s next match is the Keystone Cup on July 18th in Chambersburg, PA. To learn more about Bruce Piatt, visit BrucePiatt.com
