Kahl Harmon and Mitch Fitzpatrick claimed victory in the Team Division at the 11th annual Nightforce Extreme Long Range (ELR) Steel Challenge, competing with Lapua 300 Norma Magnum cases.
The prestigious Nightforce ELR Steel Challenge tested long-range competitive shooters in the hot and windy conditions of Wyoming. The two-day match had more than 40 teams competing across 20 stages at distances reaching 2,100 yards.
Both Harmon and Fitzpatrick ran rifles, chambered in 300 Norma Magnum built on MDT ACC Elite Chassis systems with MDT Ckye Bi-Pods. Their ammunition was built using Lapua cases, Vihtavuori N565 powder, and Berger .30 Cal 245 Grain Long Range Hybrid Target bullets.
“Lapua brass is hands down the best for this cartridge. I’ve tried others in the past, and in these hot, dusty conditions, couldn’t avoid extraction issues at the desired performance levels,” said Fitzpatrick. “Lapua brass holds up and eliminates those concerns. I’m not willing to compromise on any critical components when trying to hit targets on the clock at these distances.”
Lapua continues to set the standard for precision brass, delivering the reliability, durability, and consistency required for shooters to perform at the highest level of ELR competition.
