Sedalia, MO – Team SK member, Erich Mietenkorte, scored an overall aggregate of 196 x 240 to secure the High-Power Silhouette Two-Gun National Championship. Mietenkorte scored first place in High-Power Standard rifle with a score of 100 x 120 and second place in Hunter rifle with a score of 97 x 120. In addition, Mietenkorte scored fourth place overall in Smallbore Standard rifle.

The 2021 Smallbore and High-Power Rifle Silhouette National Championship was hosted by the Ridgway Rifle Club in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, August 8-14. For the smallbore competition, shooters engage ten chickens at 40 meters, ten pigs at 60 meters, ten turkeys at 77 meters and ten rams at 100 meters. During the high-power stages, chickens are at 200 meters, pigs at 300 meters, turkeys at 385 meters and rams at 500 meters.

“All the practice using SK Rifle Match and Long Range Rifle Match really paid off during the several shoot-offs for my 4th place finish in smallbore championship,” commented Mietenkorte. “In High Power standard rifle, I used 6.5×47 Lapua cases, Vihtavuori N140 powder, and 139gr Lapua Scenar Bullets. In High-Power hunter rifle I used 6mm BR Lapua cases, also filled with Vihtavuori N140 powder, and used
Berger 6mm 95gr and 115gr VLD Target Bullets.”
