Two New Long-Range National Records Fired with Berger Bullets

Mesa, AZ – Berger Bullets set two new F-Class Long-Range (1,000-yard) records during the 2023 Nationals earlier this month. A new F/TR Long-Range team record and F-Open Long-Range team record.

Congratulations to Team Vortex, who set the new F/TR Long-Range Team national record with an overall score of 1588-76X. Team Vortex members are Drew Rutherford, Luke Ramsey, Brad Sauve, Tracy Hogg, and Mik Francis, with Team Captain Ian Klemm, and Coach Keith Trapp. Team Vortex members shot Berger 30 caliber 200.20x Hybrid Target bullets for the record victory.

Additionally, Team Lapua Brux Borden won the F-Open Long Range Team match and set a new record score of 800-53X firing Berger 7mm 180 Grain Hybrid Target bullets. Lapua members Tod Hendricks, Ted Wedell, Jeremy Smith, David Christian, and Jay Christopherson fired the winning score with Bob Sebold as coach, and Team Captain Erik Cortina.

Berger donates 2.5% of its retail sales for these two projectiles to support the United States F-Class Team and their quest to win the 2026 F-Class World Championship held in Bisley, England.

The 2023 US F-Class National Championships were hosted by the Desert Sharpshooters and held October 30 – November 5th at Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, AZ. The national competition had over 240 shooters from all over the United States testing their skills at 600 and 1,000 yards.
