Mesa, AZ – Team Berger member, Lou Murdica, scored a grand aggregate of 0.299 to secure the championship at the California Brenchrest State Championship.

Lou competed using a 6mm PPC cartridge, fire formed from Lapua’s 220 Russian cases, and loaded with Berger 6mm BR Column Bullets. The 6mm Column is a unique benchrest projectile that is purpose-built with a hybrid ogive for easy loading and tuning, and features accurate, stable flight out to 300 yards.

The California Benchrest State Championship, presented by the Visalia Sportsmen’s Association took place March 27 – April 18 at Visalia, CA.

Murdica’s results were as follows:

  • 1st Place LV 100-200 – 0.2155
  • 1st Place SPT 100-200 – 0.2083
  • 1st Place Sporter 5 Shot 200 Yards – 0.2402
  • 1st Place Sporter 5 Shot 100 Yards – 0.1764
  • 1st Place Light Varmint 5 Shot 100 Yards – 0.2000
  • 1st Place Light Varmint 5 Shot 200 Yards – 0.1962
